meditation and expectation.

The major change for me since I wrote my last post is that I have been meditating. I was getting together with a friend once or twice a week, but in the last week or so, I have finally been able to meditate more at home again, and the first change I'm noticing is that I'm sleeping better than I have in a long time.

Lack of sleep has been an issue for me for many years, and has affected my performance in many areas of my life, so to get results in this area is a major for me. My energy levels tend to go up and down with my sleep, and my productivity also. I finally seem able to relax which is GREAT !! :-)

I'm starting to programme more visualization into my meditation time, working on visualizing the changes I want to create in my life.

After enjoying having some time off with my son, it's time for me to start bringing in money again, either through a new job, or some other means. I feel that relaxation is the key to this area of my lfe as well. From a relaxed stress free state, I can tune into the insights and inner guidance available to me in this area of my life.

My approach is to have fun and be very playful with the meditations around money. For example imagining I have a golden key that unlocks a treasure chest full of jewels and dubloons.
The subconsious mind uses the language of symbols, and feelings and emotions are more important than words when visualizing to manifest wealth. I am trying to unlock my personal source of wealth and good fortune, so it's about using and choosing symbols that speak to me and excite me, and get my emotional juices flowing.

The lighter and more playful my visualizations are, the more effective they will be.

So I'm going to stop writing now, and go on a little journey in a meditative state, unlocking and discovering the wealth that is available to me.

If it's really dark, it can be hard to find the lightswitch..

Counting the blessings. notice the good - let go and let it grow!!

I never can get enough of Abraham, I'm so grateful for these teachings that are so alive and so inspiring. every time I listen to my audio CD's I get a little shift in the right direction. Yesterday went a bit shonky, and today is back on track, partly due to listening to Abraham. Ooh I am so waiting for the goodies today lol. It's a beautiful day, so going to go out in the garden for a while and focus on all the good in my life.

Life is like a garden, what you give attention to will grow. Not only that, when you raise your vibration, the good that you are not even focussing on will grow as well. Any good that you've asked for ever becomes accessible to you when your vibration is in alignment with it. So work that vibration!! in whatever way you can.

Sometimes really tough things happen in our lives. In those times, to go "everything is wonderful right now" is too big a leap from where we are. At those times, the little shifts we make are important. It's about drawing our attention to the little bits of good everywhere, for the bigger picture to grow. Anything at all that feels better than the overwhelming bad feelings is a good place to start.

For example...you have money worries, you're losing your house, and have lost you job. try some thoughts like

"I have an opportunity to explore new possibilities" that voice will start screaming "but i lost my house, my job, I'm a failure !! etc

"well I can learn from this" you'll never learn, look how often you've messed up says the voice

"well right now the postman smiled at me, that was nice :-)"

change your vibration, look for any excuse however pitiful to make a shift.

What has gone wrong in your life, was partially a result of focusing attention on what wasn't working instead of hope.

It's hard to be hopeful when "reality" is slapping you in the face with bad stuff. But there is always something you can find to be positive about. And just shifting your attention from the bad stuff for a while will create a window where light can shine in.

If you can't find anything good in your situation, find something good anywhere. "that kitten is full of life" "my car is going well" The guys at the service station are always helpful"

there is no point when something really upsetting has gone down, denying it, it hurts too much in that moment. But you can say to yourself "I don't know how I'm going to get over this, but while I'm struggling with it, I'm going to take some time to notice good every day"

then if you read something uplifting, repeat that story to yourself.

If your house is a mess, and needs major repairs that you can't help noticing, find anything positive. For example "that shelf in the kitchen where my teaset sits looks lovely"

I'm serious when I say, if you haven't got a house, notice that you are dry and warm in your car...if need be. I have been there, I had to live in my car once, and I had friends who didn't have a car.

Start thinking now that there is a possibility of something good, and then notice the smallest little things that reflect that.

If you're whole body is a mess....find that one point that is ok...well my toes feel great! My fingernails are awesome. When you are right at the bottom, is hard to imagine the way out, but you have to do it, and you have to start with the really small stuff and build up. Unless of course you have a great imagination, and really get this. Then start huge if you want!. For confidence you may need to start really small if you've been in a bad situation for a while.

Forget just for a few seconds if you can, all the things that are going wrong, and focus on what is right, even if you have to make it up!!

Abraham says that 17 seconds of focus is all that is needed to create a shift and begin to manifest what you want.

He also says that is your life is 90% bad, and 10% good, and you start to focus on that 10% the other 90% will come into alignment and improve.

Use your imagination and be creative in finding good in your life. Become a treasure hunter that digs for those nuggets of gold, and knows that even a small amount is extremely valuable.

Anything you can find that is good, that you can believe in , will help to create a shift.(you may not believe it when you say to yourself "I look like a supermodel" but you can believe when you shift your attention from "I'm so ugly no one would ever want me" to " have really straight teeth, my hair is thick and strong")

Find things to appreciate about yourself, your body, your situation and your life...and you will be well on your way to manifesting a better life for yourself.

It starts with your feelings, so shift them first whatever way you can. A shift from extremely negative to slightly better is worth noticing. Anything positive is worth noticing "I haven't felt like killing him for 20 minutes now"? take it!! notice it !! Any improvement in your situation or feelings, should be pinned up on the wall with stars on it! at least in your mind.

Don't wait for the great big thing you've been wanting to happen to congratulate yourself. Any tiny little thing will get you there, if you can shift your focus long enough .

I'm looking forward to sharing our stories of improvements in our lives.

Remember, the circumstances change when our feelings about them change. If you don't like what you're seeing, change the picture of the wall. Move your attention to anything you do like, and it's all up from there!

prayer and meditation

Did a very powerful mediation/prayer session with my friend Suzanna. If that doesn't create miracles, I don't know what will..Asked for help in a lot of areas, and will wait and see what happens. I know my painting is flowing more. I've asked for $700 a week again, as that was a good amount for us, can always ask for more later.

Might ask for help with sleep too next time. We were just mediating but now we're combining it with prayer and visualization, where we pray for each other as well as our selves. Felt really good, and a strong connection to source happening. Feel that if we keep it up, big shifts are on the way.

Changing vibrations.

I've really been noticing a shift in my vibrations. If I feel fear or anxiety, I playfully challenge it. Playfully - being the key to successfully redirecting my energy.

Abraham gives examples of this, and I'm finding it really works for me.

Saying things to myself like "what if there was a way right now that I could be bring in money in a way I love? I'm sure it's possible, I can really feel it's true! It makes sense to me that the perfect opportunites are available to me now".

The more I do this in an attitude of play, the less resistence I feel. I can really feel that I am allowing myself to have what I want

I grew up with a religion that told me I wasn't allowed to have what I want, I should focus on helping others to get what they want...but me?? No that was selfish.

I feel with Abrahams help I am finally moving into a state of allowing and its great.

I would encourage anyone to study Abraham..it's the best Law of attraction material I've found.
It's an empowering, invigorating view of the universe that sets me free.

Plus I want to get rich doing what I love...not selling someone elses law of attraction product, not even selling the law of attraction. I give everything I know about the LOA away for free. It frees me and I hope it will free you to live the way you really want to, doing what you love.

Selfish as it may be lol, I want to get rich being ME. I love art/ music/ writing/ gardening.

I love blogging, and social networking. It's ALL good :-)

Long term and short term goals.

A few years back, I moved with my son to a tiny little town on the Taranaki coast. Before we moved here I was gigging regularly in a duo with my partner, but we broke up and I was left hours away from the nearest city, and financially it doesn't make sense to travel so far for gigging. I had decided anyway that the music lifestyle wasn't compatable with the lifestyle I wanted for my son so have made a commitment to make the most of living here until he's old enough to stand on his own feet...then mum's leaving home lol!

Being here enable me to live out another dream, which is to have a huge fruit and vege garden and lots of animals. We definitely have the animals - 1 dog, 2 goats, 5 cats, 7 chooks, and 10 guinea pigs! and the garden is just being etablished now. I had a large vege garden before, but put the goats in the back, and am moving the garden to the front section, so it's just started happening again now as we prepare for spring. I was getting all our veges from the garden before , and in a few months, should be at least getting all our greens from the garden again.

Living in such an isolated location has it's challenges. Mostly how to make money. If I was I the city I'd be gigging, but I'm really glad to have this time with my son, and to give up the gigging for a while, he's been really blossoming since we settled here. Music involves lots of travelling and it's hard to find the balance sometimes.

So I've turned to the internet to connect me to the world, with my music and art, and find inspiration from other creative people - something my home town wasn't offering a lot of lol
Not only that, it's given me opportunities to make money that fit the lifestyle we're living now.

For a while I worked for a large company that processes milk not far from where I live. The main decently paid employment around here. It was only seasonal, very long hours, but very well paid. However I felt my dreams were put on hold while I was there, and thankfully they have set me free this season, as it was never a great match for an artistic person like myself.

It's so exciting to think that I really can have my dream lifestyle, without leaving home. I feel the internet is giving me that possibility.

What I want to do is share that possibility with others through my blogs.

How I make money from my blogs

I've been exploring all kinds of ways to make money, but I keep coming back to art and music.
These are my first loves, and will prob be my last. Been with me all my life.

So the plan is to build my fiddle website traffic. (as well as the traffic on my other blogs) I have google ads on my site which are related to the content. The more people I get to my blog, the more ads get clicked on and the more money I make.

The idea is to have good content on my site, and for the google ads to be a bonus. I want the content to attract people to my sites, so I need to keep updating it regularly and developing my own fiddle playing so that I can post my progress and hopefully have something to offer other players.

I want my blog to be a resource for other players and to attract a regular audience for my blog.

Another way I get traffic to my blog is by posting on you tube, with a link to my blog, and having links to my blogs on twitter and facebook. I also put a link to my art blog on trademe when I use it to sell my paintings, and link my blogs to each other.

A friend offered for me to share her cleaning job, but I have decided to concentrate and my music/art and the internet for my income. Being at home, working on my art, music, garden and my blogs, really is my dream lifestyle, and if I can make it happen for myself, then that's perfect. So I've decided to put all my energy into my dream, I'm basically living it now, but would like to generate ALL my income from my interests, as I still work part time, so that's my main goal now :-)

I've noticed an increase in my adsense revenue since I started putting my links out there.

On twitter, if I tweet about gardening I put my gardening link there. If I tweet about art, a link to my art site, music, a link to my music blog etc.

I've realised that I want to focus on selling my own content, rather than products or money making plans for other people. All though I make money from ads on my websites, I attract people to my sites by my own content first, and that's basically what I'm selling, the ads sell themselves. Of course my content is free, and people "buy" it just by valuing it enough to go to my sites.

The ads work because they are so well linked to my content...in fact I often want to click on the ads myself because they have content that really interests me- as, being linked to my keywords - they all relate to my interests!

Of course it doesn't pay to click on your own ads because this may mean google suspends your payments dues to own site clicking.
