How I make money from my blogs

I've been exploring all kinds of ways to make money, but I keep coming back to art and music.
These are my first loves, and will prob be my last. Been with me all my life.

So the plan is to build my fiddle website traffic. (as well as the traffic on my other blogs) I have google ads on my site which are related to the content. The more people I get to my blog, the more ads get clicked on and the more money I make.

The idea is to have good content on my site, and for the google ads to be a bonus. I want the content to attract people to my sites, so I need to keep updating it regularly and developing my own fiddle playing so that I can post my progress and hopefully have something to offer other players.

I want my blog to be a resource for other players and to attract a regular audience for my blog.

Another way I get traffic to my blog is by posting on you tube, with a link to my blog, and having links to my blogs on twitter and facebook. I also put a link to my art blog on trademe when I use it to sell my paintings, and link my blogs to each other.

A friend offered for me to share her cleaning job, but I have decided to concentrate and my music/art and the internet for my income. Being at home, working on my art, music, garden and my blogs, really is my dream lifestyle, and if I can make it happen for myself, then that's perfect. So I've decided to put all my energy into my dream, I'm basically living it now, but would like to generate ALL my income from my interests, as I still work part time, so that's my main goal now :-)

I've noticed an increase in my adsense revenue since I started putting my links out there.

On twitter, if I tweet about gardening I put my gardening link there. If I tweet about art, a link to my art site, music, a link to my music blog etc.

I've realised that I want to focus on selling my own content, rather than products or money making plans for other people. All though I make money from ads on my websites, I attract people to my sites by my own content first, and that's basically what I'm selling, the ads sell themselves. Of course my content is free, and people "buy" it just by valuing it enough to go to my sites.

The ads work because they are so well linked to my content...in fact I often want to click on the ads myself because they have content that really interests me- as, being linked to my keywords - they all relate to my interests!

Of course it doesn't pay to click on your own ads because this may mean google suspends your payments dues to own site clicking.
